Miniona niedziela na pewno zostanie mi w pamięci na zawsze. W Warszawie odbyło się bowiem pierwsze Seminarium dla sędziów i asystentów kynologicznych z Bitte Ahrens Primavera, zorganizowane przez Związek Kynologiczny w Polsce. Prowadząca jest międzynarodowym sędzią i jednym z największych autorytetów w hodowli i ocenie chartów na świecie. Wychowana z chartami, prowadzi słynną, wielopokoleniową hodowlę – Sobers. Seminarium poświęcone było porównaniu trzech ras – charcik włoski, whippet i greyhound, zarówno w zakresie ich wyglądu, ruchu jak i charakteru. Bitte jako hodowca wszystkich tych ras chartów bardzo szczegółowo omawiała różnice i podobieństwa pomiędzy nimi. Wskazywała także na mnóstwo cech w naszej rasie o jakich należy pamiętać podczas oceny w ringu, ale też na etapie planowania hodowli.
Podczas prelekcji padło naprawdę całe mnóstwo bardzo ważnych uwag, porad i sensownych podsumowań. Powiedziane było wiele o pracy i roli sędziego, ale też o samym hodowaniu. Omówienie anatomii charcika „rozebranego” na części, szczegół po szczególe, pokazywanie różnych wad i mankamentów z jakimi możemy się spotkać w naszej rasie to wiedza bezcenna i wynikająca przede wszystkim z obserwacji wielu pokoleń charcików. Prócz całego mnóstwa rycin i przemyślanej prezentacji (której z oczywistych powodów nie będę publikować) mogliśmy także zobaczyć opis cech na żywym modelu – a w tej roli wspaniały pies naszych zaprzyjaźnionych hodowczyń CIDARIS THE KINGDOM OF WINE Tesori Di Carli („prywatnie” znany jako Chochoł, syn naszego Mastera i wnuk Baszubka).
Cały wykład podstawowy trwał kilka godzin, ale równie cenny był też czas poświęcony na zadawanie pytań, a na sam koniec także możliwość indywidualnej rozmowy z prowadzącą, czego oczywiście nie mogłam sobie odmówić. Szczegółowe omawianie zagadnień i wyczerpujące odpowiedzi na nasze pytania pokazały ogromne doświadczenie jakie Bitte posiada w pracy z chartami. Jej otwarte i bardzo ciepłe podejście do ludzi oraz czułość do psów budzi ogromną sympatię już od pierwszych chwil, a ilość posiadanej wiedzy zasługuje na ogromy szacunek.
Oczywiście taki dzień, przepełniony nowymi informacjami pozostawił mnie z wieloma tematami do przemyślenia, potwierdziło się wiele moich prywatnych przypuszczeń, ale też upewniłam się w słuszności niektórych pomysłów i planów. Dzień intensywny, pełen emocji, spotkań z przyjaciółmi i całą masą znajomych miłośników rasy. Przy okazji pobytu w Warszawie mogłam w końcu poznać nowego psa naszych przyjaciół Kasi i Tomka – pięknego Sobers ZENOBIO, ale też zwyczajnie poplotkować o charcikach.
Tak, tego dnia nigdy nie zapomnę.

ENG | Last Sunday will surely stay in my memory forever. The first Seminar for judges and assistant judges with Bitte Ahrens Primavera, organized by the Kennel Club in Poland, was held in Warsaw. The host is an international judge and one of the greatest authorities in breeding and judging sighthounds in the world. Raised with dogs, she runs the famous, multi-generational kennel called Sobers. The seminar was devoted to the comparison of three breeds – Italian greyhound, whippet and greyhound, both in terms of their appearance, movement and character. As a breeder of all these breeds, Bitte discussed the differences and similarities between them in great detail. She also pointed out a lot of features in our breed that should be remembered while judging in the show ring, but also at the stage of planning our breeding. During the lecture, there was a lot of very important comments, advices and sensible summaries. Much was said about the work and role of a judge, but also about breeding itself. Discussing the anatomy of an IG, detail by detail, showing various defects and shortcomings that we can encounter in our breed is priceless knowledge and resulting primarily from the observation of many generations of italian greyhounds. In addition to lots of drawings and a thoughtful presentation (which I will not publish for obvious reasons), we could also see a description of the characteristics on a live model – in this role a wonderful dog of our friends breeders CIDARIS THE KINGDOM OF WINE Tesori Di Carli („privately” known as Chochoł, son of our Master and grandson of Baszubek). The entire basic lecture lasted several hours, but the time devoted to asking questions was equally valuable, and at the very end also the possibility of an individual conversation with the lecturer, which of course I couldn’t refuse. Detailed discussion of issues and comprehensive answers to our questions showed Bitte’s huge experience in working with sighthounds. Her open and very warm approach to people and tenderness to dogs giving great vibe and sympathy from the very first moment, and the amount of knowledge she possesses deserves great respect. Of course, such a day, filled with new information, left me with many things to think about, many of my private assumptions were confirmed, but I also made sure that some ideas and plans that I had in my mind were right. An intense day, full of emotions, meetings with friends and a whole lot of acquaintances of breed lovers. During my stay in Warsaw, I could finally meet the new dog of our friends Kasia and Tomek – the beautiful Sobers ZENOBIO, but also just gossip about italian greyhounds.
Yes, I will never forget that day.
